The Search Strategy

Dec 23rd, 2007 | By | Category: design

We all have to write applications that incorporate some kind of filtering. These include the normal search screen which captures a set of criteria for a search. The results are displayed in summary form when the user clicks the “Submit” button. These summary results can be further clicked to show detail views of particular items. This is the familiar summary-detail screens that most of us see from one application to another. So if this is so common, are there any re-usable artifacts available that can create “Search-Summary-Detail” screens out of the box?
